Friday Five - Bucket List Edition

Singing Owl writes: ... do you have a "Bucket List"? In other words, from the movie of the same name, five things you want to see, do, accomplish, etc. before you kick the bucket?

Sure, don't we all? Here's mine:

1. I want to live in Northern Lower Michigan for at least a few years.

2. I am beginning to think in a more focused way about pursuing an advanced degree - discerning this now and would cherish your prayers.

3. I want to go back to Japan once more - was there for a year as an exchange student, and will not feel as though that chapter has ended without another visit there.

4. I want the Captain and I to live aboard our beloved "Retreat" and cruise at least part of the ICW (intercoastal waterway).

5. And before I hit the big "5-0" next Spring, I want to be a Parrot-head at a live Jimmy Buffet concert! I think the Captain is clear on this - I hope he is working on it!

Oooh, number 4 sounds amazing. Go for it!!! I got to sail the coast of Maine for a week with some friends. It stands out as an incredible, fabulous memory.

Quite the ambitious and achieveable list! First, Jimmy Buffett; then, the doctorate!

Prayers for the discernment on further study.

I love the new header with lilacs--a neighbor gave my daughter a bunch to sniff and play with the day she died and they will always make me think of her. Also of my sweetie and our young days together as I bought a bottle of lilac scent right after my bridesmaid's luncheon the day before the wedding. It's almost gone now after 20 years and Crabtree and Evelyn doesn't make it anymore, boohoo.

I am starting a Yahoo group for those interested in the Benedictine community....Can you write me offline with a preferred email address so I can send you an invitation?

Beautiful pictures. Where were you in Japan? I went to 6-8 grades there on a Navy base but that was LONG ago.

As my husband approached 40 he decided that he would wanted to write a doctorate - he took and passed his viva two months before his big 50.
Anyway great, great list - enjoy getting there!
