FRIDAY FIVE - Gifts of the Spirit

FROM ACTS CHAPTER 2: 14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:17 " 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

I love the story of your house dream. I've never seen a split staircase like that.

And this is my first time to your blog. It is one gorgeous place!

Thank you...just redesigned today, as a matter of fact.
The house of which I'm speaking was built in 1917 - a Dutch Colonial with lots of beautiful woodwork. But when I first saw it, it had been empty and in disrepair for several years. It looked like the Adamms' family house, but the staircase matching the one in my dream made me certain that I should buy this house. My soon-to-be husband was certain too, and he did some beautiful remodeling to update it...but even more than that, our two boys as well as a child we miscarried were all conceived there. It will always be a very special place for our family.

I had a house dream too! It was not a house we purchased, but one we rented. We had been asked to leave our church, and we were broken hearted, emotionally shot, physically not so good either. I dreamed that our family was smiling and laughing in a house with beautiful royal blue counters. The dream was so real that we looked for such a place, and didn't find it. We rented a place, and a few months later the owner sold it. Then we started looking again, and when we came to the house with bright blue counters we new that was the place. We lived there for three years, a house in the woods by a lake, while we healed and refocused. For our kids it was a wondfullly happy time. I'd almost forgotten till reading your post! Thanks. And I love the new blog look. It is new, right?
